Sarah Cockwill
Head of Business Development
Sarah leads the organisation’s growth strategy, forges strategic partnerships, and oversees the development of new commercial opportunities. She works closely with colleagues across the organisation to ensure Business in Focus continues to deliver high-quality, impactful services to businesses and communities.
Before joining Business in Focus, Sarah built a successful career in employability and operations, where she managed teams of advisors and trainers and played a central role in shaping service delivery and performance. Her extensive experience in Business Development during this time strengthened her expertise in stakeholder engagement, programme design, and client relationship management.
Prior to moving into the employability sector, Sarah spent time teaching English at Mountain Ash Comprehensive School, nurturing learners’ skills and supporting their academic development. Earlier in her career, she also worked for the UK Government in London, gaining valuable insight into national policy, public service, and cross-departmental collaboration.
