Job Purpose
This is a Community Renewal Fund project, coordinated by each Local Authority; delivered and managed by Business in Focus. The fund aims to support people and communities most in need across the UK, creating opportunities to trial new approaches and innovative ideas at the local level.
The aim of the work is to reach people in the community who may be marginalized by their circumstances and are unemployed, economically inactive, under employed and facing additional socio-economic barriers to work. The objective is to promote the possibility of self-employment as an alternative via early pre-start business support and will bring people to the point where mainstream Business Support can become relevant.
Job Summary:
The Community Engagement Coordinator supports the CRF delivery team by coordinating a comprehensive engagement programme and developing stakeholder relationships in the community with clients, business support delivery providers and partners, in both private and public sectors.
The Community Engagement Coordinator promotes the service and undertakes aspects of delivery. The role provides an effective relationship brokering function that attracts and engages with clients, stakeholders and managers. The role organises and co-ordinates community events, undertakes activities with clients to ready them for employment, and facilitates webinars
