Robert James
Rob, a former senior partner turned consultant at Geldards Solicitors, represents diverse public and private sector clients nationwide. He specialises in significant regeneration and development projects, including early involvement in Cardiff Bay and SA1 Swansea initiatives. Notably, he played a pivotal role in establishing the Aston Martin plant in South Wales and is currently engaged in the UK’s largest freeport project at Teesport in the North East of England.
Beyond his legal career, Rob maintains a keen interest in sports, particularly rugby and cricket, with past involvement in the Llandaff club. He occasionally enjoys hillwalking in the Brecon Beacons and endeavours to maintain his garden, though with varying degrees of success. Since 2005, Rob has served as a non-executive board member of Business in Focus. He takes pride in witnessing the remarkable development and expansion of Business in Focus as it assumes a leading role in providing SME support to businesses in Wales.
